IMNCI (Integrated Management of Neonatal and Childhood Illness) is a WHO and UNICEF strategy aimed at reducing morbidity and mortality among children under five by providing a comprehensive approach to assessing, classifying, and managing common childhood and neonatal illnesses. It focuses on two age groups (0–2 months and 2 months–5 years) and uses a color-coded system (pink, yellow, green) to guide referral, treatment, or home care. The module includes management of conditions like ARI, diarrhea, fever, malnutrition, and neonatal infections, along with caregiver counseling and follow-up. It is important in nursing practice as it ensures early detection, standardized care, and improved child health outcomes
